Responsibilities
- Design and build internal platforms and tools for sensitive data discovery, review workflows, access governance, risk tracking, and remediation.
- Develop backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and automation workflows to identify, analyze, and reduce sensitive data exposure.
- Integrate with object storage, databases, data warehouses, streaming platforms, metadata systems, and production services.
- Partner with security, data platform, product engineering, data owners, and platform teams to translate risk and business requirements into engineering solutions.
- Improve how sensitive data is stored, accessed, transformed, shared, and monitored.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience building and operating backend services and web applications.
- Software engineering experience in backend, platform, infrastructure, or distributed systems development.
- Strong programming and scripting skills using Python, Bash, Java, or similar languages.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, especially AWS services, IAM concepts, permissions, logging, and access patterns.
- Preferred: 7+ years leading system design and architecture using AWS or Azure services.
- Preferred: 10+ years building high-performance, highly available, scalable distributed systems in the cloud.
- Preferred: 7+ years building and managing high-performance, highly available, scalable hybrid cloud environments.
- Preferred: AWS Advanced Architecting or Developing on AWS certification.
- Preferred: 10+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience.
- Preferred: team leadership experience and strong cross-group collaboration and communication skills.
