Responsibilities
- Lead Databases and Analytics customer engagements.
- Drive technical sales with decision makers through demos and proofs of concept to influence solution design and enable production deployments.
- Conduct technical workshops using live demos, customer co-creation, whiteboarding, architecture design, rapid prototyping, hands-on proofs of concept, and pilots.
- Prove technical solutions and reuse or co-create architectures to influence solution design and secure customer commitment for deployments.
- Maintain deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure DocumentDB, and Azure PostgreSQL.
- Develop knowledge of on-premises enterprise data warehouses, Hadoop, business intelligence solutions, and data warehouse migrations.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience, or a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus 4 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree in those fields plus 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in Azure database migration and modernization, including SQL Database, Cosmos DB, DocumentDB, and PostgreSQL.
- Expertise in Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Azure Databricks, and competing data warehouse and analytics platforms including BigQuery, Redshift, and Snowflake.
- Ability to lead technical engagements such as prototyping, pilots, and proofs of concept that produce production-scale outcomes.
- Preferred: 6 or more years of technical pre-sales, technical consulting, technology delivery, or related experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 4 or more years working with cloud, hybrid, or on-premises infrastructure, architecture design, migrations, industry standards, or technology management.
- Familiarity with ETL, data warehousing, and reporting technologies.
- Proficiency in data warehouse and big data migration involving Teradata, Netezza, Oracle, Hadoop, Cloudera, Hortonworks, and Synapse Gen2.
- Azure Fabric experience is preferred.
