Responsibilities
- Evaluate technology landscapes and define forward-looking short- and long-term technology strategies.
- Advise senior client technical leaders, build trusted relationships, understand challenges, and align needs with proposed solutions.
- Design and lead secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable architectures using Google Cloud Platform.
- Act as Delivery Lead when required, owning end-to-end execution, quality, timelines, governance, risk mitigation, communication, and client satisfaction.
- Provide hands-on leadership in architecture validation, performance optimization, production issue resolution, and complex technical delivery challenges.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, offshore delivery teams, and multidisciplinary internal teams.
- Mentor delivery teams and promote strong engineering practices, accountability, best practices, and continuous improvement.
- Create and share technical content, reference architectures, and technology best practices.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in data engineering and cloud-native technologies across big data, analytics, and AI/ML.
- In-depth architecture experience with Google Cloud Platform and its data and AI services.
- Extensive experience with BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI, and Dataproc.
- Experience creating, deploying, configuring, and scaling applications on GCP serverless infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of data engineering, data management, and data governance.
- Proven delivery of multiple end-to-end data engineering, data warehousing, or analytics projects.
- Knowledge of programming languages and frameworks, particularly Python and/or Java.
- Experience with complex global architectures, including microservices, event-driven systems, event streaming, and online machine learning systems.
- Experience leading large-scale delivery programs or workstreams and managing cross-functional teams across geographies in client-facing environments.
- Preferred qualifications include Docker and Kubernetes experience, DevOps on GCP knowledge, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Certification, and AWS experience in hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong communication, influencing, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and hands-on technical investigation skills.
