Responsibilities
- Evaluate current technology landscapes and recommend forward-looking technology strategies and reference architectures.
- Advise senior client leaders and stakeholders, understand their challenges, and align needs with comprehensive technical solutions.
- Provide architecture leadership for secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable platforms using Google Cloud technologies.
- Act as a Delivery Lead when required, owning solution execution, quality, timelines, governance, and client satisfaction.
- Lead program planning, risk mitigation, stakeholder communication, and resolution of complex technical and delivery challenges.
- Provide hands-on leadership for architecture validation, performance optimization, production issue resolution, and delivery alignment.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, offshore delivery teams, and multidisciplinary teams across geographies.
- Mentor delivery teams, promote strong engineering practices, and contribute technical content, best practices, and reference architectures.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in data engineering and cloud-native technologies across big data, analytics, and AI/ML domains.
- In-depth architecture experience with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI, and Dataproc.
- Experience creating, deploying, configuring, and scaling applications on GCP serverless infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of data engineering, data management, and data governance.
- Proven delivery of multiple end-to-end data engineering, data warehousing, or analytics projects.
- Knowledge of programming languages and frameworks, particularly Python and/or Java.
- Experience designing complex global solutions using GCP services, including microservices, event-driven systems, event streaming, and online machine learning systems.
- Experience leading large-scale delivery programs or workstreams in complex client-facing environments and managing cross-functional teams across geographies.
- Strong communication, influencing, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills with a hands-on approach to technical issues.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps on GCP, AWS hybrid-cloud environments, and Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Certification.
