Base Salary
$79k - $131k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and software solutions using SQL, Python, and AWS services.
- Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for data retrieval, transformation, reporting, and performance tuning.
- Develop and deploy serverless functions and event-driven workflows using AWS Lambda and EventBridge.
- Build and maintain scalable data solutions with AWS S3, RDS, and Glue.
- Create Python scripts and applications for automation, data processing, and business logic.
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Manage source code in GitLab and follow CI/CD pipeline workflows.
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, defect resolution, and performance improvement.
- Write and execute test plans and participate in Agile ceremonies.
- Document technical specifications, designs, and processes.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, stored procedures, query optimization, and relational data modeling.
- Working knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, EventBridge, S3, RDS, and Glue.
- Hands-on Python experience for data processing, automation, or backend services.
- Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, software development lifecycle practices, and automated testing frameworks.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, with strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with React, Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API design, microservices concepts, Redshift, Athena, API Gateway, Docker, or Kubernetes is desired.
- Financial services experience, knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements, and familiarity with application security and OWASP standards are desired.
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.
