Responsibilities
- Design and build future-proof solutions while considering system-wide impact.
- Develop features from conception through implementation, testing, and deployment in collaboration with senior engineers.
- Gather and refine requirements, estimate and plan work, and manage progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Release software in a timely manner while balancing speed and efficiency.
- Identify, reproduce, and remediate bugs with the technical support team.
- Build and deliver features using agentic tooling, including custom skills, agents, and harnesses.
- Contribute prompts, skills, and workflow improvements to the AI-enabled developer experience.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related qualification, or commercial experience developing in C#, Java, or other object-oriented languages.
- At least five years of hands-on commercial programming experience on the .NET platform using C# and ASP.NET MVC.
- Experience with design patterns, refactoring, object-oriented design, Web API, database design and development, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and jQuery.
- Practical experience with AI coding assistants and agentic engineering workflows, with willingness to own architecture, review, and quality through agents.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP and source control tools such as TFS, SVN, or Git.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Desirable experience includes Azure Functions, Azure Queues, custom agent skills, harnesses, MCP servers, prompt libraries, AI code evaluations, guardrails, testing methodologies, Lean software development, CI/CD systems, Bootstrap, .NET Core, Entity Framework Code First migrations, Claude or Claude Code, and financial services.
