Responsibilities
- Design and build future-proof solutions that support business needs while considering system impact.
- Own significant features from conception through deployment, including architecture, implementation, estimation, planning, tracking, and risk and dependency management.
- Gather and refine requirements and release software in a timely manner.
- Work with technical support to identify, reproduce, and remediate bug tickets.
- Build and deliver features using agentic tooling, including custom skills, agents, and harnesses.
- Contribute prompts, skills, and workflow improvements to the AI-enabled developer experience.
- Perform other duties required by management.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related qualification, or equivalent commercial experience developing in C#, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages.
- At least five years of hands-on commercial experience programming on the .NET platform using C#, including ASP.NET MVC.
- Experience with design patterns, refactoring, object-oriented design, and related areas.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and agentic engineering workflows, with willingness to work primarily through agents while owning architecture, review, and quality.
- Experience building web services using Web API and understanding of database design and development.
- Hands-on experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and jQuery.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience with source control tools such as TFS, SVN, or Git.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Desirable experience includes Azure Functions and Queues, custom agent skills, harnesses, MCP servers, prompt libraries, AI-code evaluations and guardrails, testing methodologies, LEAN software development, CI/CD systems, Bootstrap, .NET Core, Entity Framework Code First migrations, Claude or Claude Code, and financial services.
