Responsibilities
- Lead discovery and Phase 0 engagements, producing target architectures, key design decisions, delivery options, and phased roadmaps.
- Own end-to-end Workday Financials solution design across accounting, data, reporting, integrations, controls, and sector requirements.
- Define how Workday Financials, Prism Analytics, Accounting Center, operational platforms, accounting engines, and reporting tools work together.
- Establish design governance and resolve cross-workstream decisions involving functional, data, integration, reporting, and security teams.
- Guide delivery through configuration review, testing, cutover, stabilization, reconciliation, readiness evidence, and design acceptance.
- Support FSI go-to-market activities, customer demonstrations, proposals, estimates, and account-team discovery.
- Develop sector reference architectures, decision guides, recipe cards, model-tenant scenarios, and reusable accelerators.
- Coach consultants and architects, review solution quality, and incorporate delivery lessons into the practice.
- Assess Workday releases and automation opportunities with relevant specialists.
Requirements
- Substantial Workday Financials experience across multiple deployments, including cross-functional solution design ownership and experience through go-live, major post-deployment change, or significant relevant client-side sector experience.
- Deep practical knowledge of the Foundation Data Model, financial accounting, and reporting, with breadth across procure to pay, customer to cash, banking and settlement, and assets.
- Direct finance transformation or delivery experience in at least one financial services or insurance subsector.
- Strong accounting fundamentals covering general ledger and subledger relationships, reconciliations, close, consolidation, and multi-entity or multi-currency reporting.
- Experience assessing Prism Analytics, Accounting Center, integration, migration, security, reporting dependencies, source data quality, audit trails, and reconciliation controls.
- Evidence of leading senior customer workshops, resolving competing requirements, documenting decisions, estimating work, and explaining commercial consequences.
- Experience coaching consultants and reviewing delivery quality.
- Relevant current or previous Workday Financials certification and commitment to maintain or renew required certifications.
- Desirable insurance experience in general insurance, life and pensions, health insurance, broking, or reinsurance.
- Desirable hands-on Workday Prism Analytics or Accounting Center delivery experience or certification.
- A recognized accountancy qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA, or equivalent professional experience.
- Exposure to Adaptive Planning, Workday Extend, finance automation, reusable sector assets, multi-jurisdiction finance architecture, or post-deployment customer support is desirable.
