Responsibilities
- Evolve Reddit’s cross-platform design system by developing reusable components.
- Collaborate with product teams, designers, and engineers to support real product needs.
- Improve web performance at scale through frontend architecture and performance practices.
- Advance accessibility by building components and documentation that adhere to WCAG best practices.
- Strengthen frontend developer experience with shared tooling and documentation.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of leading cross-functional projects.
- Experience building and maintaining shared UI platforms like design systems or component libraries.
- Deep experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, and modern web frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Strong understanding of UI architecture, performance optimization, and scalable component APIs.
- Familiarity with web accessibility best practices and a commitment to building accessible experiences.
