Responsibilities
- Develop Spotlight UI experiences across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS.
- Build fluid presentations, interactive previews, and deep system integrations.
- Work across Swift and Objective-C from UI presentation through system-level integration.
- Translate engineering constraints into product goals and help set the team’s technical direction.
- Collaborate with search, design, platform, and technical and non-technical partners.
- Write clean, testable code and address complex multi-platform problems.
Requirements
- Demonstrated dedication to polished, responsive, and reliable user experiences.
- Experience working effectively in collaborative, cross-functional environments.
- Ability to synthesize analysis of complex, multi-platform problems.
- Experience with SwiftUI interoperability with UIKit and AppKit.
- Deep knowledge of UIKit and AppKit.
- Proficiency in both Swift and Objective-C.
- Preferred experience migrating large Objective-C codebases to Swift.
- Preferred production experience with Swift concurrency, including async/await, actors, and Sendable.
- Preferred experience analyzing performance with Instruments, working with IPC mechanisms, and developing frameworks shipping across iOS and macOS.
