Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, test, and operate scalable Java API services using SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Own software solutions from ideation through implementation and ongoing maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the team on architecture, design sessions, engineering guidelines, and high-quality delivery.
  • Work with Product Management, User Experience, and clients to understand requirements and drive feature development.
  • Define milestones and deliveries for new functionality and enhancements with engineering leads across Data and Analytics solutions.
  • Modernize an accounting system and contribute to transforming monolithic applications into microservices.
  • Develop and maintain distributed, multi-tenant, and high-performing applications using public cloud and data-processing technologies.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools for code generation, debugging, code review, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering is required.
  • At least 4 years of proven commercial experience with Java-related technologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience building and delivering complex, highly scalable software systems.
  • Experience with multiple programming languages and with designing maintainable code supported by unit tests.
  • Experience with distributed and big-data computing platforms such as Redis, Spark, and Kafka.
  • Experience transforming monoliths into microservices and building multi-tenant applications.
  • Experience with SaaS technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and public cloud providers such as Azure or AWS.
  • Experience with web technologies, distributed data-processing engines, REST/GraphQL APIs, relational and in-memory databases, including Oracle and Redis.
  • Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar LLM-based assistants.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Working knowledge of developing or maintaining applications in C++ is a nice-to-have qualification.
