Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new or revised application systems and programs for business and user needs.
- Perform feasibility studies, estimates, IT planning, risk assessment, systems analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
- Provide application support to business users and analyze production defects.
- Develop full stack solutions using Java/J2EE, frontend technologies, cloud platforms, and microservices.
- Recommend security measures and evaluate business and system processes after implementation.
- Consult with users, clients, technology groups, and senior stakeholders on advanced programming solutions.
- Define operating standards and processes, support compliance, and drive continuous improvement in code quality, testability, and reliability.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, advisor, or coach to junior analysts.
- Manage projects, deadlines, changing requirements, and technical and functional documentation.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of Java/J2EE development experience, with approximately 9 years of relevant full stack experience preferred.
- Experience with software application systems analysis and programming.
- At least 5 years of experience using relational databases such as Oracle and developing Java-based microservices.
- Hands-on experience with JDK, JSP, DWR, Struts, Spring Framework, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, Easy UI, and HTML5.
- Experience with PaaS cloud development using OpenShift or Cloud Foundry and Docker.
- Experience with AngularJS and production defect analysis.
- Experience delivering quality products using BDD, JUnit, and functional automation.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects, with working knowledge of consulting or project management techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication, organization, analytical, business, problem-solving, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
