Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve high-quality, scalable, maintainable, and performant software solutions.
- Architect and build modular Java microservices for liquidity platforms and vendor stacks such as iGTB and LMS.
- Develop RESTful services and contract-first APIs using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Build and manage infrastructure and deployment pipelines using the standard DevOps/DevSecOps toolchain.
- Implement automated unit and integration testing, dependency and container scanning, artifact versioning, and zero-downtime deployments.
- Design messaging and event-driven solutions using Kafka and MQ, including idempotency and back-pressure patterns.
- Apply SQL/NoSQL query tuning and performance profiling for high-volume liquidity, treasury, and transaction workloads.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, business functions, and stakeholders on requirements and solution strategies.
- Participate in code reviews, technology communities, Agile ceremonies, feature slicing, dependency management, and testable story development.
- Apply secure coding practices, manage risk, strengthen controls, and contribute to policies and procedures.
- Guide team members, contribute to technical direction, communicate complex information, and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
Requirements
- Expertise in Java 11 or later, Spring/Spring Boot, RESTful services, and contract-first APIs.
- Strong understanding of collections, concurrency, memory management, resilience patterns, circuit breakers, retries, and secure coding.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab pipelines, artifact versioning, automated testing, dependency scanning, container scanning, and zero-downtime deployment practices.
- Experience with Kafka or MQ patterns, idempotency, back-pressure, and event-driven design.
- Strong SQL and NoSQL fundamentals, including query tuning.
- Experience with performance profiling and capacity planning for high-volume treasury or transaction workloads is desirable.
- Practical exposure to ML-assisted code quality, test generation, static analysis, or analytics hooks for downstream anomaly detection is desirable.
- Ability to operate in scaled Agile pods or ARTs, manage dependencies, and represent engineering in PI or iteration ceremonies.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, lead complex assignments, guide team members, manage risk and controls, and communicate complex information.
