Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve scalable, maintainable, and high-performing software solutions using Java and related frameworks and tools.
- Develop Java-based backend applications, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and solution strategies.
- Participate in code reviews and promote code quality, knowledge sharing, secure coding, and effective unit testing.
- Guide technical direction or contribute to strategy, coach less experienced specialists, and advise stakeholders on functional and cross-functional matters.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and controls related to the team’s work.
- Contribute to technology communities and identify opportunities to redesign applications and simplify solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Proficiency in Java programming and expertise developing and optimizing Java-based applications.
- Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful API development, and scalable Java backend application design.
- Proficiency with Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
- Familiarity with the complete software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Valued experience with GitLab pipelines, TeamCity, application redesign and simplification, and AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas, guide technical direction, collaborate across functions, and manage risk and controls.
