Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of cloud-native applications on AWS and Azure using full-stack, serverless, event-driven, and container-based patterns.
- Drive technical decisions involving application architecture, API design, data modeling, system integration, scalability, and distributed systems.
- Write clean, testable, production-ready code and establish standards for software quality, security, and maintainability.
- Mentor and guide developers while leading technical discussions and promoting software craftsmanship and modern development practices.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment processes, release workflows, and quality gates.
- Apply application-level security practices covering authentication, authorization, and data protection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into well-designed cloud applications.
- Evaluate cloud services, frameworks, and tools, and ensure systems meet functional and non-functional requirements through testing and observability.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a software developer, ideally with full-stack experience.
- Recent experience building cloud-native applications on AWS or Azure.
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages, such as TypeScript, Python, Golang, or Java.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, event-driven architecture, and domain-driven design.
- Experience with serverless architectures, containers, and/or Kubernetes from a developer perspective.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and modern delivery workflows, including GitOps and trunk-based development.
- Strong understanding of application-layer cloud security best practices.
- Experience designing and building REST or GraphQL APIs and working with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or CosmosDB.
- Understanding of queues, streams, pub/sub, asynchronous patterns, scalability, concurrency, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with functional programming principles, code management strategies, release processes, code reviews, pair programming, and automated testing.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Crossplane.
- Knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, SAML, RBAC, ABAC, cloud networking, and proxies.
- Experience with CI/CD frameworks such as Flux and ArgoCD and proficiency with GitHub for version control and collaboration.
- Experience developing and managing cloud infrastructure using Crossplane.io is a plus.
- AWS or Azure certifications are a plus, and a fundamental grasp of AI tools is beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
