Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and operate customer-facing distributed systems.
- Develop event-driven systems, define service contracts, and build APIs for internal and external partners.
- Solve scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability challenges in cloud-native applications.
- Use agentic engineering workflows, specifications, automated checks, and quality guardrails.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, business stakeholders, and international teams to clarify requirements and define success criteria.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to service escalations.
- Mentor teammates and help onboard new joiners.
Requirements
- Professional experience with Go and cloud-native distributed applications.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Kafka, and gRPC.
- Experience designing event-driven systems and microservices.
- Experience building APIs used by many internal or external partners.
- Hands-on experience with agentic engineering, including writing executable specifications, building agent workflows, and automating review feedback into checks and guardrails.
- Understanding of reliability, performance, and maintainability trade-offs, with the ability to explain them in business terms.
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders, a continuous-learning mindset, and willingness to mentor teammates.
