Responsibilities
- Develop mission-critical backend features and services for the Workato platform, including AI chatbot dispatching and synchronous/asynchronous AI execution.
- Build high-performance gateways and routing components.
- Build server-side infrastructure for logging and monitoring.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, SRE, and AI teams to address high availability, scalability, and AI assistant requirements.
- Contribute throughout the development lifecycle and write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
- Evaluate alternatives, propose system improvements, and present technologies for architectural review.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- At least 8 years of industry experience.
- At least 4 years of backend experience with Go.
- Understanding of databases, load balancers, application servers, message brokers, caching, monitoring, and other large web application building blocks.
- Experience building and scaling distributed, highly available systems.
- Basic knowledge of Kubernetes concepts and configuration.
- Ruby on Rails experience, open-source contributions, Docker or other isolation technologies, Redis-based caching, public cloud infrastructure, third-party APIs at scale, or related DevOps, ML, DBA, and enterprise application experience are pluses.
- Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams, communicate in spoken English, experiment with new technologies, and deliver features from design through production and maintenance.
