Responsibilities
- Develop mission-critical features and backend services for the Workato platform and Workato Genie team.
- Build high-performance gateways and routing components.
- Build server-side infrastructure for logging and monitoring.
- Design and implement AI assistant features with the AI team.
- Ensure high availability and scalability in collaboration with Infrastructure and SRE teams.
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle and write well-designed, testable, efficient code.
- Evaluate system improvements, investigate technologies, and present proposals for architectural review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- 8+ years of industry experience.
- 4+ years of strong backend experience with Go.
- Understanding of databases, load balancers, application servers, message brokers, caching, monitoring, and other large web application components.
- Experience building and scaling distributed, highly available systems.
- Basic knowledge of Kubernetes concepts and configuration.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails is a plus.
- Open-source contributions are a plus.
- Experience with Docker, Redis-based caching, public cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, related fields, and third-party REST APIs at scale is beneficial.
- Ability to debug effectively, solve problems analytically, collaborate across distributed teams, communicate in English, and deliver product features from design through production and maintenance.
