Responsibilities
- Architect and oversee complex machine learning pipelines for logistics sub-domains.
- Implement, launch, and continuously improve Data Science applications using efficient machine learning models.
- Manage real-time and batch inference systems for predictive platforms.
- Deploy and optimise scalable machine learning models and services in production.
- Provide technical leadership and shape machine learning and engineering best practices across the organisation.
- Lead the integration of new technologies and tools into the infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Data Science and cross-functional teams on model deployment, optimisation, and long-term technical solutions.
- Communicate complex machine learning concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency with cloud technologies, ideally AWS, plus extensive containerisation and orchestration experience, preferably Kubernetes.
- Deep understanding of software development, DevOps, and MLOps best practices with proven production experience.
- Extensive experience designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable models and services in production.
- Strong understanding of machine learning and the ability to collaborate closely with Data Scientists on deployment and optimisation.
- Experience with MLflow and Airflow or Dagster for experiment tracking, model management, and ML pipeline orchestration.
- Significant experience with data engineering, Kafka, and stream processing technologies.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL; additional programming languages are a strong plus.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proven technical leadership and experience driving best practices in engineering teams.
