Responsibilities
- Design and own end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for missile-program codebases using Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, and Atlassian tools.
- Develop and maintain pipeline automation scripts and build configurations using CMake, Visual Studio, and custom build scripts.
- Architect secure artifact repositories and version-control strategies supporting traceability, reproducibility, and DoD compliance.
- Implement static analysis, code-quality gates, and vulnerability scanning for C++, Python, and VxWorks projects.
- Tailor build and test processes for real-time and safety-critical embedded applications, including cross-compilation, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and simulation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development and operations teams.
- Coordinate pipeline standards and security posture across multiple networks, sites, and geographically dispersed teams.
- Document pipeline architecture, build processes, security controls, and compliance evidence for audits and accreditation.
Requirements
- BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field with 8 years of embedded software or hardware development, or an MS with 6 years of equivalent experience.
- Experience serving as a technical lead with cross-functional teams.
- Experience creating and maintaining DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and designing automation solutions.
- Experience with Git and development metrics.
- Embedded software development experience with microcontrollers, DSPs, FPGAs, and RTOS platforms such as VxWorks, FreeRTOS, or QNX in Windows or Linux environments.
- Current US Government DoD Secret security clearance with ability to obtain SAP clearance.
- Proficiency in one or more of C, C++, Python, flight software development, or software factory development.
- Experience across the full software development life cycle and with tools including GitLab, Atlassian, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, or VectorCast.
- Experience with AWS or Azure, containers, and orchestration tools such as Podman or Kubernetes.
- Experience with simulators or STE development.
- CISSP, CISM, or Security+ certification is preferred.
- Strong process-improvement, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
