Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Implement software based on software-level requirements and defect reports.
- Collaborate with systems and software engineers to develop and maintain software architecture models.
- Develop, integrate, and test software on laboratory assets.
- Support verification and validation activities for integrated Computer Software Configuration Items.
- Perform embedded software implementation, unit and integration testing, system-level integration, field integration testing, and requirements verification.
- Develop software in real-time operating systems such as VxWorks.
- Support software/hardware integration, troubleshooting, and resolution of interface issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline and at least five years of software engineering experience with embedded systems exposure, or a Master of Science in an engineering discipline and at least three years of such experience for Level 3.
- Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline and at least eight years of software engineering experience with embedded systems exposure, or a Master of Science in an engineering discipline and at least six years of such experience for Level 4.
- Experience developing in an RTOS such as VxWorks.
- Embedded software experience and the ability to read code and verify implementation against Software Requirements Specifications.
- Experience developing and troubleshooting embedded communication interfaces and protocols such as UART, RS-232/422, CAN, and ARINC 429.
- Experience integrating embedded software systems with hardware and troubleshooting hardware/software interface issues.
- Current U.S. Government DoW Secret security clearance.
- Preferred experience with aerospace and defense technologies, MIL-STD-1553, software/hardware integration leadership, laboratory test and diagnostic equipment, and legacy system architecture assessment.
