Base Salary
$131k - $237k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and architect full-stack and embedded software solutions for airborne systems.
- Implement code, unit tests, software tools, test harnesses, and distributed subsystem integrations.
- Lead technical design decisions and use DevOps and CI/CD pipelines within the software development lifecycle.
- Own software components and subsystems from concept through deployment, fielding, support, and maintenance.
- Mentor junior engineers and review designs, coding standards, and technical work.
- Communicate with customers, end users, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and resolve technical issues.
- Coordinate delivery across multiple products, distributed teams, technical dependencies, and integration points.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mathematics, or an equivalent technical degree, with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- At least 12 years of relevant technical experience, or 10 years with a master's degree.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain an interim and final Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience with embedded software architecture, software architecture patterns, distributed systems, and hardware/software integration.
- Preferred hands-on experience with device drivers, board support packages, boot loaders, Real-Time Operating Systems, and Hardware Description Language.
- Preferred knowledge of microcontrollers, single-board computers, peripheral interfaces, and hardware test equipment.
- Preferred experience with configuration management, version control, automated build/test frameworks, disciplined engineering processes, and development standards.
- Preferred defense systems, avionics, or guided munitions domain knowledge and experience mentoring engineers or leading technical design reviews.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
