Base Salary
$156k - $253k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and technical roadmap for AI agentic workflows.
- Design and scale backend systems on GCP with integrated AI capabilities.
- Drive adoption of GCP-native AI tools, including Vertex AI Agent Builder and Google ADK.
- Translate business problems into AI-driven solutions with cross-functional partners.
- Establish best practices for building, testing, and operating AI-augmented production services.
- Influence technical direction across the organization and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
- 8+ years of experience working on large cloud infrastructure platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or GoLang.
- Hands-on experience building AI agents or agentic workflows using Google ADK, Vertex AI Agent Builder, or custom agent frameworks.
- Experience with MCP or similar agent-tool integration patterns, LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI model integration into backend services.
- Experience with semantic layers, KV caching, or similar LLM performance and inference-cost optimization techniques.
- Experience with multithreaded and multiprocess programming, distributed systems, microservices, system design, scalability, optimization, and performance metrics.
- Rich GCP experience, including managed services such as Vertex AI, Pub/Sub, GKE, Cloud Run, and Secret Manager.
- Knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, NGINX, Envoy, SQL, NoSQL, MySQL, Redis, BigQuery, and messaging systems such as Pub/Sub or Kafka.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
