Responsibilities
- Own software test design, execution, reporting, traceability, and communication of quality and risk.
- Design and deliver structured, risk-based test approaches with clear and traceable test artefacts.
- Support software release and acceptance activities with evidence-based product-readiness recommendations.
- Embed within delivery teams, contribute to agile ceremonies, and ensure requirements are unambiguous and testable.
- Drive the adoption and development of scalable, maintainable automated testing solutions.
- Influence test strategy across hardware-integrated, distributed, and embedded platforms.
- Strengthen test governance and promote consistent standards, risk management, and best practices.
- Mentor and develop test engineers while building technical capability across the test function.
- Support customer-facing integration and testing activities and facilitate quality discussions.
Requirements
- Experience delivering software testing in agile environments across complex software or system-level environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of software testing principles and structured test design techniques, such as decision tables.
- Ability to create clear, structured, and traceable test design, test case, execution, and release documentation.
- Ability to provide authoritative advice across the software test lifecycle and close knowledge gaps quickly.
- Experience testing systems with connected hardware and diagnosing integration and interoperability issues.
- Experience developing and maintaining scalable automated test solutions using tools and frameworks such as Playwright, PyTest, and UI Automator.
- Hands-on scripting experience for test automation and tooling using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- ISTQB or equivalent certification is desirable.
- Android testing experience, mentoring experience, and knowledge of device management, mobile platforms, security, and non-functional testing are desirable.
- Experience with Git, GitHub Actions, build pipelines, assurance-driven or regulated environments, and auditability is desirable.
