Base Salary
$170k - $196k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop containerized services for a distributed, multi-tenant system processing real-time events, network telemetry, and public-cloud data.
- Design, defend, implement, and deliver robust service architectures and features.
- Own critical features and subsystems across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements clarification, deployment, and customer usage.
- Own operational aspects of the system and use production experience to improve software supportability.
- Write primarily in Go and work with data pipelines using SQL or other interfaces.
- Ensure code quality through early developer testing and functional and integration testing.
- Mentor junior engineers, new graduates, and interns.
- Partner with Product Management to refine requirements and develop solutions based on customer needs.
- Develop understanding of customer problems through collaboration with stakeholders and peers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent degree; a master’s degree is a plus.
- At least 4 years of experience building distributed and scalable software and systems.
- Experience with Go and SQL.
- Extensive API-level or programming-level experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Kubernetes-based containerized services is desired.
- Experience with REST API clients.
- CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible experience is nice to have.
- Experience in a Unix/Linux programming environment.
- General TCP/IP networking knowledge; networking and security-controls experience is a plus.
- Ability and willingness to continually learn, follow technology trends, and work collaboratively.
- Ability to comply with applicable U.S. export controls.
