Base Salary
$145k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own machine learning pipelines from raw sensor data and problem selection through dataset curation, training, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Build and ship computer vision models for detection, segmentation, classification, embeddings, and re-identification across large-scale image and sensor data.
- Develop solutions for vehicles, license plates, wheels, lane markings, and other objects in roadside camera frames.
- Apply both classical computer vision techniques and custom-trained state-of-the-art models based on the problem requirements.
- Optimize and deploy models for both cloud infrastructure and roadside edge hardware, balancing speed, size, power efficiency, and accuracy.
- Work with real-world devices and test models on physical roads at production scale.
- Collaborate across teams in a lean startup environment and contribute beyond a narrow specialty when needed.
Requirements
- 2–6 years of software engineering experience focused on machine learning and/or computer vision.
- End-to-end experience taking models from raw data through production deployment and post-launch ownership.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to write production-quality code.
- Hands-on experience training, debugging, deploying, monitoring, and iterating machine learning models in production.
- Modern computer vision experience, including judgment about when classical techniques are preferable to heavier models.
- Strong coding ability and willingness to learn quickly; experience with Python and TypeScript is relevant.
- Comfort working across cloud and edge environments and with systems operating in the physical world.
