Responsibilities
- Lead software verification and validation activities in accordance with DO-178C.
- Provide technical leadership for certification and compliance engagements.
- Support certification planning, audit readiness, and certification artifact development.
- Lead requirements traceability, verification reviews, and compliance assessments.
- Perform advanced defect analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigations.
- Review test strategies, verification approaches, and coverage analysis results.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on certification best practices.
- Collaborate with customer, engineering, and program teams on certification initiatives.
- Drive process improvements and operational excellence across certification programs.
Requirements
- Require 8–12 years of experience in software engineering, verification, validation, or safety certification.
- Require strong experience in safety-critical embedded software environments and DO-178C certification projects.
- Require expertise in DO-178C lifecycle processes, compliance, requirements traceability, verification and validation, testing, software quality assurance, and certification audits.
- Require strong C or Embedded C programming skills, including BSP and device driver verification experience.
- Require proficiency with LDRA, Polarion, DOORS, Git, Jira, Linux, Python, and ARM, Intel, or PPC platforms.
- Require experience leading technical workstreams and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
- Prefer a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Prefer experience with VxWorks, Embedded Linux, and Helix Virtualization Platform.
- Prefer exposure to Aerospace & Defense certification programs and IEC 50128 and ISO 26262.
- Prefer experience with SOI audits and certification authorities.
- Prefer complex certification and verification engagement leadership, technical SME experience, mentoring experience, and customer-facing consulting or technical advisory capabilities.
