Responsibilities

  • Design, construct, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest and centralize security data from multiple systems of record.
  • Build and optimize backend web infrastructure, REST APIs, reporting portals, dashboards, and AI model endpoints.
  • Engineer conceptual, logical, and physical data models and optimize relational, non-relational, and analytics database architectures.
  • Develop and deploy machine learning models and intelligent automation for cybersecurity vulnerability risk scoring.
  • Create reusable automation frameworks and workflows for data processing, web deployments, and model training.
  • Implement data-quality checks, schema validation, governance, and compliance safeguards.
  • Maintain and monitor web servers, databases, machine-learning staging environments, and UAT reporting environments.
  • Translate security-program needs into technical work, guide junior engineers, and serve as a technical liaison.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience through job-related work, military experience, specialized training, or education.
  • Experience using Python and SQL for complex data manipulation, ETL processes, and algorithmic development.
  • Advanced experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Snowflake, and BigQuery.
  • Experience deploying, securing, and maintaining web infrastructure, REST APIs, backend frameworks, web servers, and proxies.
  • Hands-on experience developing predictive models and integrating machine-learning libraries into production web environments.
  • Prior experience engineering within a vulnerability-management program or cybersecurity organization.
  • Preferred qualifications include translating client needs into technical requirements, presenting roadmaps to executives, cloud-native hosting, Docker, Kubernetes, serverless architecture, LLM fine-tuning, RAG frameworks, and familiarity with NIST, SOX, FISMA, operating systems, networks, cloud, and SDLC.
