Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain on-device and off-device Android applications for payment solutions.
  • Develop proofs of concept and demos showcasing products, integrations, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and support teams.
  • Improve performance, debugging tools, test automation, CI/CD processes, and release readiness.
  • Debug and resolve customer-reported issues and support production defect resolution.
  • Create technical documentation and investigate complex issues across device, operating system, and network layers.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in Android or embedded/mobile software development.
  • Strong experience developing Android applications and proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
  • Understanding of Android architecture, lifecycle management, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with backend integration, asynchronous or event-driven communication, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with software architecture concepts, microservices, distributed systems, and containerized environments; Kubernetes/EKS experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, ownership, and independent working skills.
