Responsibilities
- Understand project goals and requirements, identify gaps and testing impediments, and define testing approaches.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test strategies, test cases, and test results.
- Perform manual and functional, end-to-end, regression, smoke, and web services testing.
- Drive test automation initiatives using scripting languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Create defect reports, track issues through resolution, and communicate test impacts and results.
- Identify software risks, anticipate testing problems, and collaborate with development and business teams to resolve them.
- Establish collaborative relationships across teams and provide timely updates to management.
- Support quality control systems, inspections, compliance with standards, and continuous improvement.
- Manage conflicts, increase productivity, and support hiring and talent development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- 4 to 6 years of software testing experience.
- Strong QA background in manual and functional testing.
- Expertise in scripting languages, logical implementations, automation, frameworks, and testing tools.
- Knowledge of SQL and Oracle queries.
- Experience preparing test plans and strategy documents, gathering requirements, and writing test cases.
- Experience with web services testing and formal software test design techniques.
- Experience with functional, end-to-end, regression, and smoke testing.
- Experience creating defect reports and tracking them in a defect management tool.
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with development and business teams and identify project risks and testing challenges.
- Exposure to security and performance testing is preferred.
- People management experience, including conflict management, productivity improvement, hiring, and talent development.
