Responsibilities

  • Design validation strategies based on product requirements, architecture, and customer workflows.
  • Build and scale reusable API/UI automation frameworks and engineering guardrails.
  • Develop automated coverage for features, customer workflows, regressions, and production issues.
  • Perform release validation and reduce manual release effort.
  • Integrate automated validation into development, pull request, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Build developer tooling that provides fast, actionable feedback to engineering teams.
  • Expand automation coverage across Windows, Linux, Airwave, and other under-covered areas.
  • Convert customer and requirement scenarios into reusable automated validation contracts.
  • Investigate and debug failures across UI, APIs, backend services, logs, databases, containers, devices, and environments.
  • Contribute backend or cloud code fixes and improve the reliability, maintainability, and speed of automation.
  • Use AI coding tools and agents for development, test generation, debugging, failure analysis, and maintenance.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, and Release teams to improve release confidence and developer velocity.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of relevant software testing or automation engineering experience.
  • Strong software testing fundamentals and ability to design comprehensive validation strategies.
  • Strong programming fundamentals in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on API testing, API automation, and UI automation experience using Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent.
  • Experience designing and building reusable automation frameworks or test infrastructure.
  • Understanding of backend systems, APIs, databases, asynchronous processing, retries, queues, and failure handling.
  • Ability to read, debug, modify, and test existing backend code.
  • Strong root-cause analysis and debugging skills across application, API, backend, logs, database, automation, and environment layers.
  • Experience integrating automated validation into pull request and CI/CD workflows.
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, and modern software-development workflows.
  • Ability and willingness to use AI-assisted development tools in day-to-day engineering.
  • Strong ownership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Backend/cloud development, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL/database debugging, Windows/Linux automation, device management, enterprise SaaS, performance/reliability/scalability/resilience testing, internal developer tooling, observability, or AI/LLM/agent-assisted engineering experience are preferred.
