Base Salary
$80k - $266k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end architecture for enterprise software platforms, shared services, and applications.
- Define target-state and transition architectures, including system decomposition, integration patterns, and data flows.
- Lead build, buy, and reuse architecture decisions while communicating trade-offs, risks, and dependencies.
- Advise business and technical stakeholders and translate business objectives into pragmatic technology solutions.
- Facilitate architecture workshops, design reviews, and technical discussions.
- Establish and enforce architecture standards and governance for security, scalability, performance, resilience, and operability.
- Partner with engineering, DevOps, and operations teams to deliver implementable and production-ready solutions.
- Identify and mitigate cross-team dependencies and architectural risks.
- Mentor senior engineers and junior architects and promote engineering best practices.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience with significant architecture ownership and influence across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- At least 3 years designing enterprise-scale software or platform solutions as a Technical Architect.
- Strong understanding of modern architecture patterns, including micro-frontend frameworks, microservices, event-driven architecture, API-first design, and domain-driven design.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent minimum 12 years of work experience; an associate degree requires at least 6 years of work experience.
- Experience building or leading platform-grade capabilities such as API platforms, integration layers, workflow or automation platforms, and shared services is preferred.
- Strong experience with cloud-native architectures, managed cloud services, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm is preferred.
- Expertise with REST, gRPC, GraphQL, API gateways, and OAuth2/JWT is preferred.
- Experience with DevOps, platform engineering, infrastructure as code, and automated deployments is preferred.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures, observability, monitoring, and operational readiness is preferred.
- Understanding of generative and agentic AI concepts, including LLMs, embeddings, prompt engineering, and responsible AI, is preferred.
- Experience with enterprise copilots, LLM APIs, vector databases, and RAG-based architectures is preferred.
- Architecture or cloud certifications are a plus.
