Base Salary
$207k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Generate and investigate research ideas to solve obstacles in continuous learning.
- Collaborate with the OpenPipe team to validate research directions across real customer tasks.
- Develop LLM training methods that produce meaningful improvements.
- Lead complex cross-functional initiatives and mentor other engineers.
- Engage in hands-on work with CUDA kernels and high-performance LLM tracing dashboards.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in machine learning or applied research, or a PhD with 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated success in developing LLM training methods or systems.
- Deep expertise in LLM post-training techniques.
- Strong research judgment and ability to design rigorous experiments.
- Proven ability to take research ideas from hypothesis to production deployment.
