Base Salary
$160k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement guidance and navigation software within COTS software frameworks.
- Support airframe design activities.
- Support system integration of software on flight hardware.
- Develop real-time embedded software, including hardware interfaces and vendor-provided low-level driver and firmware integration.
- Work full-time on-site in Hawthorne, Los Angeles, California.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional object-oriented software development experience.
- Experience designing and implementing guidance algorithms for UAS platforms using commercial autopilot frameworks such as ArduPilot.
- Practical understanding of fixed-wing and rotary-wing flight dynamics.
- Extensive experience developing software for STM32 or similar microcontroller architectures and Linux hosted on Nvidia Jetson, AMD/Xilinx SoC, or Microblaze architectures.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate on small teams.
- U.S. Person status is required to access U.S.-only data systems.
- Preferred qualifications include a current or previous DoD security clearance, Part 107 remote pilot certification, EO/IR and radar sensor integration experience, VHDL and AMD/Xilinx FPGA development experience, Git experience, production-level software development and deployment experience, high-TRL system lifecycle experience, and HW/SW integration, test, verification, and validation experience.
