Base Salary

$160k - $240k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Implement guidance and navigation software within COTS software frameworks.
  • Support airframe design activities.
  • Support software system integration on flight hardware.
  • Develop guidance algorithms for UAS platforms using commercial autopilot frameworks such as ArduPilot.
  • Develop real-time embedded software and integrate vendor-provided low-level drivers and firmware.
  • Collaborate with small teams and work with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of professional object-oriented software development experience.
  • Experience developing guidance algorithms for UAS platforms using commercial autopilot frameworks such as ArduPilot.
  • Practical understanding of fixed-wing and rotary-wing flight dynamics.
  • Extensive software development experience on STM32 or similar microcontroller architectures and Linux hosted on Nvidia Jetson, AMD/Xilinx SoC, or Microblaze architectures.
  • Experience developing real-time embedded software with hardware interfaces.
  • U.S. Person status is required to access U.S.-only data systems.
  • Preferred: current or previous DoD security clearance.
  • Preferred: Part 107 remote pilot certification.
  • Preferred: EO/IR and radar sensor integration experience.
  • Preferred: VHDL firmware development and embedded software development on AMD/Xilinx FPGAs.
  • Preferred: Git, production-level software development and deployment, DevOps or DevSecOps, CI/CD, full lifecycle development of high-TRL systems, and HW/SW integration, test, and verification experience.
