Responsibilities
- Define and drive the end-to-end architecture and long-term technical roadmap for Layer-1, Layer-2, and modular blockchain platforms.
- Build, develop, implement, and maintain core blockchain modules in Go using the Cosmos SDK, including a role-based token factory for native asset issuance.
- Design and implement custom ABCI++ Prepare-Proposal and Process-Proposal logic for advanced features and optimizations.
- Configure, launch, and maintain blockchain networks, including genesis configuration, validator setup, and consensus parameter tuning.
- Implement and manage cross-chain functionality using the Inter-Blockchain Communication protocol.
- Evaluate scalable architectures such as rollups, sharding, state channels, and distributed data-availability layers.
- Guide engineering teams on secure, scalable, and highly available blockchain systems and mentor senior engineers.
- Write and guide unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; conduct code reviews; contribute to technical documentation; and troubleshoot development, test, and production issues.
- Collaborate with product teams, engineering leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business use cases into blockchain capabilities and engage with the broader blockchain ecosystem.
Requirements
- 12+ years of overall IT experience handling complex projects with end-to-end delivery expertise.
- At least 5+ years of blockchain experience designing and developing services and smart contracts.
- Expert-level proficiency in Go and strong proficiency in Rust.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining custom Cosmos SDK modules and launching or contributing to a Cosmos-based blockchain network.
- Solid understanding of CometBFT consensus and the Application Blockchain Interface, including ABCI++.
- Professional software engineering experience focused on backend or distributed systems, with a commitment to clear, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code.
- Experience deploying or adopting cloud platforms for blockchain applications, particularly GCP or similar blockchain frameworks.
- Knowledge of blockchain protocols, consensus algorithms, Layer-2 scaling, smart contract engineering, secure distributed systems, and enterprise-scale architecture.
- Knowledge of IT governance, risk, compliance, policies, control standards, risk management, or information security processes.
- Ability to negotiate, influence, collaborate, mentor, and engage with research communities, open-source projects, and standards bodies.
- Enterprise banking application experience and FinTech experience with cross-border payments or cryptocurrency wallet services are advantageous.
