Responsibilities
- Interface with technical personnel and team members to finalize requirements.
- Write and review detailed specifications for moderately complex system components.
- Translate product requirements into software designs and implement software components.
- Apply development processes, coding best practices, code reviews, and unit testing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in Agile, Waterfall, and other development environments.
- Resolve technical issues, complete bug fixes, and keep current with technology developments.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience and/or a BS in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with data manipulation languages and knowledge of data storage subsystems.
- Understanding of data modeling principles and ability to work with complex data models.
- Proficiency in languages and technologies including Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .NET.
- Familiarity with industry best practices such as code coverage and knowledge of test-driven development.
- Ability to write and review detailed specifications, complete moderately complex bug fixes, and collaborate with internal and external technology resources.
- Good oral and written communication skills and knowledge of software development methodologies.
