Responsibilities
- Interface with technical personnel and team members to finalize requirements.
- Write and review detailed specifications for moderately complex system components.
- Translate product requirements into software designs and implement effective code.
- Apply development processes, coding best practices, code reviews, and unit testing.
- Work across Agile, Waterfall, and other development environments with stakeholders.
- Resolve technical issues, complete bug fixes, and stay current with technology developments.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience and/or a BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with data manipulation languages, data modeling principles, and complex data models.
- Proficiency in development technologies including Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .NET.
- Familiarity with industry best practices including code coverage.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, data storage subsystems, and test-driven development.
- Ability to write and review technical specifications and complete moderately complex bug fixes.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external technology resources.
