Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance Java applications and backend services.
- Implement defined features and enhancements based on functional and technical requirements with guidance from senior engineers.
- Develop and consume APIs while applying basic client-server communication and HTTP concepts.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases to create and optimize queries and data access components.
- Write and execute unit tests and collaborate with product, QA, and engineering teams to deliver reliable software.
- Debug application issues using logs, debugging tools, and structured troubleshooting methods.
- Use Git for source control, branching, and collaboration.
- Work within existing CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and deploying applications.
- Participate in code reviews and apply modern software engineering practices.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Java.
- Exposure to Spring Boot through academic projects, internships, certifications, or personal projects.
- Familiarity with Factory, Singleton, and Observer design patterns.
- Basic understanding of Spring Data JPA or ORM concepts.
- Knowledge of JUnit and Mockito or similar unit testing frameworks.
- Exposure to Swagger/OpenAPI documentation tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Exposure to Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Basic awareness of secure coding practices and OWASP security principles.
- Exposure to GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar coding assistants.
