Base Salary
$190k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate components of the Streaming Platform, including Kafka and high-level APIs.
- Implement resilient, high-throughput stream processing systems with strong correctness guarantees.
- Build scalable automation and control plane for Kafka fleet management.
- Partner with product engineers to ensure effective ingestion pipelines.
- Improve observability, monitoring, and failover for real-time systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in distributed systems or real-time streaming.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Rust, Go, or Java.
- Experience with streaming technologies like Kafka, Flink, or Spark Streaming.
- Strong understanding of partitioning, watermarks, and delivery guarantees.
- Experience in cloud environments such as Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP.
- Nice to have: experience with ClickHouse or modern streaming SQL engines.
