$143k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and design of scalable, reliable distributed systems across multiple services.
- Drive complex cross-team initiatives and align Product, Engineering, and platform stakeholders.
- Build and integrate GenAI capabilities, AI agents, and ML components into production systems.
- Own system design, technical direction, trade-off decisions, and long-term platform strategy.
- Develop platform infrastructure, tooling, SDKs, model runtimes, and feature-store capabilities.
- Own coding, testing, deployment, observability, monitoring, and maintenance across the software lifecycle.
- Mentor engineers and junior leaders while improving engineering standards, documentation, and developer experience.
- Define technical requirements and success metrics with product and business stakeholders.
- Conduct design reviews, prototype APIs, evaluate tools, and contribute to engineering thought leadership.
- Provide supervision, development opportunities, performance guidance, and team leadership for associates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area plus four years of software engineering or related experience, or six years of such experience.
- Strong expertise in system design, distributed systems, scalable architectures, reliability, and high-performance computing.
- Experience leading end-to-end technical solutions and complex initiatives across teams.
- Experience applying modern technologies such as GenAI and event-driven systems to business problems at scale.
- Proficiency with one or more of JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, and C++.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, navigate ambiguity, make architectural decisions, and communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Master's degree in a relevant field plus two years of software engineering experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices is preferred.
