Responsibilities
- Define architecture blueprints and take technical ownership of component design, technology choices, and non-functional attributes.
- Design, build, test, deploy, debug, and operate scalable, fault-tolerant, highly available applications.
- Develop and contribute to analytics features and deploy and monitor products on cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with architects, engineering teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to maintain architectural consistency and resolve technical dependencies.
- Drive company-wide technical excellence initiatives and research open-source tools through proofs of concept or pilots.
- Implement monitoring processes that enable data applications to meet service-level agreements.
- Participate in technical innovation, external presentations, technical publications, mentoring, and technical leadership.
Requirements
- At least 9 years of engineering experience with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Strong experience with Core Java and REST.
- Experience building web applications with Spring and microservice architecture.
- Experience analyzing functional and non-functional requirements, estimating effort, and defining deployment strategies.
- Hands-on experience architecting and developing large-scale applications, with strong debugging skills.
- Ability to design for performance, scalability, fault tolerance, and high availability.
- Preferred experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, GWT, jQuery, Google Analytics, Omniture, ELK, Mixpanel, RDBMS, NoSQL, Cassandra, or MongoDB.
- Strong communication, technical leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
