Responsibilities
- Manage incidents, analyze monitoring metrics, generate reports, and take corrective actions.
- Understand complex application systems and debug business-impacting issues.
- Improve application operational efficiency, stability, and availability through standards and best practices.
- Support continuous delivery by evolving, deploying, and running software and delivering high-quality fixes and enhancements.
- Use logging, alerting, and monitoring practices to identify incident root causes.
- Apply cloud best practices for resource optimization, monitoring, and alerting.
- Mentor less experienced peers and junior-level consultants through technical guidance and leadership.
- Participate in a rotation- and need-based 24x7 available team.
Requirements
- Experience with programming languages such as Java or .NET, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
- Understanding of monolithic, N-tier, layered, microservices, and serverless architectures.
- Strong debugging and triaging skills for troubleshooting code.
- Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, as well as relational or non-relational databases.
- Experience with Docker, Jenkins, and Azure Pipelines.
- Experience with application monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana, including metrics analysis, reporting, and corrective actions.
- Ability to deliver high-quality, well-tested bug fixes and enhancements.
- Comfort with Agile methods such as Scrum and/or Kanban.
- Strong communication, technical advocacy, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
- Willingness to share expertise through speaking engagements, open source contributions, blogs, or similar external technology activities.
