Base Salary
$152k - $288k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define features for distributed software storage systems with hardware and software engineering teams.
- Develop scalable storage management systems in Perl and Python.
- Optimize workflow efficiency and scalability with internal customers and team members.
- Drive improvements to software design and testing processes.
- Improve production quality and time to market for next-generation hardware products and technologies.
- Make architectural decisions balancing cost, performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Coordinate testing and adoption plans with peers and customers.
Requirements
- Experience with Linux software development, storage systems, and networked distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of volumes, snapshots, clones, and deduplication.
- Ability to make data-driven architectural decisions and balance cost, performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Development experience with Perl and Python.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Preferred experience with NetApp systems, ASIC workflows, infrastructure software, datacenter management, large-scale distributed computing and storage systems, Cursor AI, and DevOps tools and practices.
