Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, and implement full-stack software applications, web features, system interfaces, and infrastructure.
- Write advanced code, perform code reviews, and support coding, testing, deployment, debugging, and bug resolution.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, data models, databases, integrations, data pipelines, and system-to-system interfaces.
- Create and execute unit, system, automated, and application tests; identify suitable candidates for test automation.
- Ensure solution performance, availability, scalability, and stability while providing database and application support.
- Gather and document client requirements, translate them into technical specifications or product backlogs, and align application functionality with business needs.
- Create functional and system design documents, user guides, software development guides, and testing documentation.
- Integrate third-party services, applications, and functionality, including delivery of information from servers to mobile clients.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent work experience is preferred; a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline is preferred.
- Experience in software development and programming with modern languages such as Scala, Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with full-stack application development, Java frameworks, web technologies, RESTful APIs, data modeling, and databases.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl, OpenShift, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or another cloud provider.
- Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Unix/Linux environments and working with virtualization and containerization technologies.
- Experience with RDBMS or NoSQL databases, monitoring systems, CI/CD principles, DevOps workflow tooling, and Atlassian tools.
- Experience with public cloud solution design, distributed multi-tiered systems, algorithms, scripting, databases, and end-to-end data pipelines.
- Proficiency with C/C++, Java, SQL, PL/SQL, Unix shell scripting, XML, IBM MQ, IBM WebSphere, Open Message Queue, and web technologies.
- Experience with Agile project and workflow tools, analysis and design patterns, SDLC/SCM, automated test cases, and test scripts.
- Experience in financial services or banking is preferred.
- Ability to research and learn new technologies, contribute across design, coding, testing, CI/CD, and deployment tasks, and collaborate effectively.
