Responsibilities
- Design scalable front-end and back-end solutions aligned with product outcomes, technical strategy, and enterprise risk expectations.
- Build responsive web applications with React and TypeScript, including reusable UI components, design systems, routing, and state or data management.
- Improve web performance through Core Web Vitals, bundle optimization, rendering efficiency, caching, and latency reduction.
- Deliver accessible, WCAG-aligned user experiences using semantic HTML, ARIA, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader validation.
- Develop Java and Spring Boot services with clean architecture, dependency injection, robust configuration, and disciplined error handling.
- Design and integrate REST and OpenAPI APIs with versioning, validation, pagination, idempotency, and standardized error contracts.
- Implement secure coding practices involving OWASP Top 10 risks, OAuth2/OIDC, CSRF, CORS, JWT or session management, and least-privilege authorization.
- Design schemas, tune SQL queries, manage database migrations, and use caching or streaming where appropriate.
- Operate production systems through monitoring, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, observability, on-call readiness, and durable corrective actions.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Apply responsible AI practices involving data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and peer guidance.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Experience delivering software through requirements, design, build, test, and deployment with emphasis on resiliency, maintainability, and security.
- Strong proficiency with Java 17/21 or later and/or TypeScript in an enterprise environment.
- Hands-on experience building complex React 18 applications with hooks, component composition, and state or data management patterns.
- Experience creating reusable UI components or design systems using disciplined CSS approaches such as Tailwind, CSS Modules, or CSS-in-JS.
- Working knowledge of REST and OpenAPI/Swagger API design and integration, including versioning, validation, and consistent error contracts.
- Practical secure engineering experience with OWASP Top 10 and authentication or authorization patterns such as OAuth2/OIDC and JWT or session management.
- Working proficiency in SQL and relational database integration, including schema design, migrations, and performance considerations.
- Experience operating production systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs and outputs.
- Preferred experience with Next.js, SSR/SSG/ISR, Lighthouse, WebPageTest, browser profilers, Core Web Vitals, OpenTelemetry, Kafka, Redis, Kubernetes, GraphQL, or gRPC.
