Responsibilities
- Design performance test plans and strategies for backend services, APIs, and web applications.
- Execute load, stress, endurance, scalability, and capacity tests.
- Analyze results, identify bottlenecks, and help resolve performance issues with development and infrastructure teams.
- Establish performance benchmarks and monitor regressions across releases.
- Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines for shift-left validation.
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, product managers, and business stakeholders on non-functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Support performance optimization, tuning, and root-cause analysis for production performance incidents.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in performance engineering or software quality assurance with a strong focus on performance testing.
- Strong experience with JMeter, Gatling, Locust, or k6.
- Understanding of system architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications, preferably AWS or GCP.
- Analytical and debugging skills for diagnosing application, database, and network performance issues.
- Experience with APM tools such as New Relic, Datadog, or Grafana.
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Groovy for test-workflow automation.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating performance tests into Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar systems.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
