Base Salary
$133k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support ranking and machine learning models powering personalized experiences across Snap products.
- Optimize, export, and prepare models for efficient production use across training and inference workflows.
- Own infrastructure for hosting and serving recommendation models, embedding-generation models, and self-hosted large language models.
- Develop LLM fine-tuning, reinforcement learning infrastructure, model serving, and inference optimization capabilities.
- Provide model-hosting, ranking, and ML infrastructure to teams across Ads, Content, Growth, Lenses, Security, My AI, and other product areas.
- Operate highly available inference systems at significant scale and collaborate with product and engineering teams.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Python and Java.
- Strong understanding of system performance, scalability, efficiency, distributed systems, and large-scale ML infrastructure.
- Experience with big data processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, or Ray.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent experience, or a master’s degree with 1+ year of post-graduate software development experience, or a PhD in a relevant technical field.
- At least 2 years of post-bachelor’s software development experience for the bachelor’s-degree path.
- Experience building large-scale production machine learning systems, distributed systems, or big data processing systems.
- Preferred experience with ML training platforms, AI model inference optimization, and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Caffe2, Spark ML, or scikit-learn.
- Preferred master’s or PhD in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent industry experience.
