Responsibilities
- Design and develop Infrastructure as Code automation through DevSecOps pipelines.
- Design, develop, test, document, and roll out automated application provisioning routines for headless installation of QAD ERP, QAD divisional, and third-party software.
- Provision and manage Git source control management.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve CI/CD implementations.
- Embed with product development and release cycles to represent operational concerns including security, availability, scalability, maintainability, business continuity, and cost of ownership.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies that improve IaC execution and efficiency.
- Provide documentation and training for deployment scripts and routines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience building automated solutions for cloud-based applications.
- Strong practical Windows and Linux systems administration experience in cloud or virtualized environments.
- Experience with DevOps scripting and infrastructure automation using technologies such as shell, Python, PowerShell, Terraform, Jenkins, and Ansible.
- Hands-on knowledge of public cloud services, preferably AWS, with the ability to design scalable automation for enterprise customers in public and private clouds.
- Broad experience across databases, networking, applications, and infrastructure.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance, cloud infrastructure, databases, operating systems, containerization, and related application technologies.
- Understanding of networking concepts including TCP ports, VLANs, subnets, and CIDR.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, communication, customer-relations, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams, present technical information to nontechnical audiences, adapt to new technologies, and operate in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements.
- A master’s degree may qualify with four years of experience, as stated in the posting.
