Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to provide security guidance on new products and technologies.
- Assist with threat modeling and architecture reviews for upcoming features and products.
- Participate in security assessments, basic penetration testing, and code reviews.
- Promote secure coding practices while working with developers.
- Engineer and enhance security controls for the AWS environment and improve security visibility.
- Contribute to security automation and tooling projects.
- Support incident response by identifying vulnerabilities, tuning alerts, and enhancing detections.
- Participate in Purple Team, Red Team, and Blue Team exercises.
- Suggest improvements to SeatGeek’s security programs.
Requirements
- Graduating in spring or summer 2028.
- Proficiency in at least two of Python, C#, and Go, plus a solid grasp of coding and code review.
- Ability to identify application vulnerabilities and improve code security and defensive measures.
- Understanding of secure software development, threat modeling, and common vulnerabilities such as the OWASP Top Ten.
- Preferred: contributions to the security community through research, blogging, or presentations.
- Preferred: experience or strong interest in automating security tasks and scaling security processes through tooling.
- Preferred: familiarity with microservices, Kubernetes, AWS, and other cloud technologies.
- Preferred: participation in CTFs, bug bounty hunting, or hackathons, including Bugcrowd, HackerOne, or HackTheBox profiles.
