Base Salary
$94k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Rates trading desks and global technology and business teams to understand requirements and workflows.
- Design scalable server-side architectures and develop high-quality enterprise applications, APIs, and microservices.
- Build high-throughput, low-latency software using Java, Spring Boot, Quarkus, and reactive programming.
- Conduct testing, code reviews, technical analysis, and application performance profiling to ensure robust and reliable solutions.
- Deliver large-scale technology projects from conception through deployment and improve software development lifecycle practices.
- Provide third-line production support and perform deep technical analysis of escalated issues.
- Research emerging technologies, identify innovation opportunities, and ensure development and operational standards are followed.
- Assess and manage business and technical risks, maintain compliance, and escalate control issues transparently.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional software development experience focused on sophisticated enterprise applications.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Quarkus, reactive programming, Kafka, Solace, and MongoDB.
- Experience developing high-throughput, low-latency systems, microservices, and server-side applications.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Tekton and container orchestration platforms including OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, desk-facing financial services environment is required or strongly relevant.
- Exposure to Test-Driven Development and application performance profiling.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Rates Derivatives is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
