Base Salary

$100k - $100k/yr

Responsibilities

Design and build the APIs and backend services supporting the company’s products.
Develop AI infrastructure for retrieval, orchestration, tool calling, response streaming, and output evaluations.
Maintain reliable asynchronous and distributed workflows for document ingestion, embeddings, and long-running jobs on Redis.
Build and scale integrations with clients’ email and document-storage systems.
Protect confidential customer data through strong security and isolation practices.
Make early architecture decisions and own backend reliability at production scale.

At least seven years of experience building production backend systems.
At least six years of Python experience.
At least three years of FastAPI experience.
Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL.
At least two years of Redis experience.
Experience building or strong interest in LLM-powered systems, including RAG, tool calling, or agents.
Experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot, with the ability to review and stand behind generated code.
Nice-to-have experience with RAG or vector search, LangChain or LlamaIndex, streaming over SSE, WebSocket, or SignalR, and Microsoft Graph or email integrations.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-changing startup environment.
